Office Worker

Most jobs include some amount of stress; however, when stress in the workplace becomes unwarranted or prolonged, it can have a significant impact on our mental and physical health. The stress that is experienced may increase the risk of anxiety and mood disorders. Some examples of work stress include:

  • Poor physical conditions, safety issues, long hours, unrealistic deadlines.

  • Career development issues, including lack of job security or being passed for a promotion.

  • Lack of support from supervisors and management, conflict with co-workers, discrimination or bullying.
